Title: Impression
Author: wispykitty
Team of Choice: Real Madrid
Prompt: Score
Character: None mentioned, but I wrote it thinking of Guti (who is thinking of Sergio and David)
Rating: PG
The first time he saw them together it left an impression. The image was so bright, so vivid, full of life and colour and warmth and joy and everything he felt he was lacking. He wanted to be happy for them. He couldn’t. Jealousy scored a deep mark on his heart and filled it with longing. It wasn’t necessarily longing for them, but longing for what they had, what they shared and what they meant, not only to each other but also to everyone watching. The line dug in deeply and pierced him, dragging everything to the surface he’d buried.
Title: This Is To Settle A Score
Author: wispykitty
Team of Choice: Real Madrid
Prompt: Score
Character: Fabio Capello, Ramon Calderon (yes, really)
Rating: PG
He credits himself on being able to take surprises as they come without worry. Things happen in life, and you can’t always control them. But this…
I don’t understand your reasoning. I’ve won you the championship, what more did you want?
This has nothing to do with the championship. This is to settle a score.
You’re a fool, Ramon. A fool who can’t let things go.
You should have kept your mouth shut, Fabio.
One day your iron fist will come smashing back down on you, Ramon. Who will pick up the pieces then?
You are no longer needed, Fabio.
**So this one has no factual basis, just my assumptions based on Capello's character that perhaps way back during the whole scandal about Calderon talking shit about Real players at that student lecture he may have made a comment to Calderon about how he should have handled the situation better and not been such a coward about it. This in turn would provoke Calderon to carry a grudge and thus fire him, despite the fact that they won the league title. Because really, the man should not have been fired!
Title: Spice
Author: wispykitty
Team of Choice: Real Madrid
Prompt: Score
Character: Raul/Guti
Rating: PG
“So, what do you feel like? Do you want something spicy, tangy, sweet, or maybe no spices? I’m not sure what you like…” Guti nervously cuts diagonal slices into the pork, scoring it so the flavour will seep in better.
“Whatever you feel like is fine by me.” Raul leans against the counter, isn’t picky today.
“Are you sure, I don’t want to- ow!” He drops the knife and sucks in breath through clenched teeth. He’s cut his finger.
“You need to learn to relax.” Raul takes a sheet of paper towel, blots the cut, kisses the finger. “You’re okay.”
