Training at Appiano Gentile. Julio’s eyes, never large, were just two flat slits of pleasure. The configuration of his mouth, though entirely unfamiliar to onlookers, efficiently conveyed a sensation of smug arousal.
Figo, contemplating the hideously improbable object of Julio’s adoration, edged a little closer to him. “Please,” he begged in Cruz’s ear, “tell me you don’t do it with the lights on.”
Julio smiled, and opened his mouth to reply; but even Figo’s Portuguese nerves proved inadequate for such a situation, and he was a small dot near the opposite goal by the time the answer left Cruz’s mouth.
