Hugo feels guilty. He shouldn’t, he’s not the one that’s leaving Nice, the club, this delicate thing they have, that they both need so much. He understands how much more is offered away from Nice, he doesn’t even know where he’ll be come autumn, but he isn’t the one leaving this behind. He’s the one that isn’t enough reason for staying.
Eder comes out of the shower and flashes one of his brilliant smiles at the bed where Hugo lays. His answering grin is quiet, his guilt seeping into it. If he had Eder’s chance, he would be leaving too.
