Jesi is where he grew up, with football in his head, in his heart and in his eyes.
After school he used to go to the small pitch in front of his Church to play until it was too dark to even see the ball and he was forced to go home where his mother, after telling him -again- that he should think more about school and less about football (and where is father asked him why he doesn’t have a girlfriend yet, because “you’re a boy -not a child anymore - now, you understand, Roberto?”) prepared dinner.

But it’s fucking difficult.), Genova is where he truly belongs because Genova is where he is (and always will be) loved.

He remembers how it felt to hug him after a goal (because it was never Roberto’s or Gianluca’s goal but always their goal; because they were twins.
Which is an euphemism to say that Gianluca loves - and is - Roberto and that Roberto loves - and is - Gianluca) and hearing his words, whispered softly.
“We are made of gold, Roby.”

Rome is home.
Here he changed, first from a player to an assistant coach and then, finally, to a true coach (that wants to be able to play again and curses time because there are lots of things he wanted to do but will never be able to).
But Rome is also learning that it’s easier to have people taking care of you than wanting to do everything by yourself (because Dejan is the one that has no problem to hug you after a loss, and Sinisa is the one that never tells you “I told you.”) and, then, feeling safe.
