Luís Figo sat at his kitchen table, legs idly stretched out before him, as he pulled Helen into his lap, both of them just watching their eldest, Daniela, as she puttered about the kitchen in excitement before finally sitting down in front of the oven.
Apparently, the first truly self-made cookies were a big step for any seven year old, if her desperate clutch on the kitchen timer and the obviously overjoyed look on her face were any indication.
Luís just smiled into Helen’s neck, thanking God yet again that somehow, time and time were always two separate things here.
