okay, i'm wishing everyone safety and success in surviving whatever, if anything, comes and hits us.
i hope you all have a good 5 day weekend, and be smart in what you do. dont go crazy and make bad choices.
the girls and i are spending the weekend at the folks house.... i think its safer and easier for us. i was helping my dad put up the plywood and then helping my mom move a bunch of limbs (they are, after all, projectiles in strong winds) and i totally screwed up my back. but i'm hoping a good nights sleep will straighten that all up.
i watched Lost in Translation again for the 876482353695670 time. such an amazing movie. when he reaches out and touches Charlotte's foot and says, just before falling asleep, "you're not hopeless."...... wow. and when they are at the karaoke bar and Bob is singing, "nothing more than this, no there is nothing more than this."..... ahhh.... like a moment in time captured in its perfect purity with each other. wow, i love that movie. but i missed the last scene. and i've decided i know what he whispers to her in her ear just before walking away with a final smile for her. yes, that is an amazing movie.
