i know the German fans love him but i wish he would take the US job. maybe he could actually do that job. i mean, not that Bruce didn't, but obviously things could have gone better. i think a better squad could have been picked(+DeMerit, -Donovan), certain players could have had more time on the field(Ching). him or Hiddink i think would be awesome. they know how to really get together an ailing squad and get them to succeed. Australia and Germany were such great stories. but i don't think either of those guys are happening to the US national team anytime soon. it would be great, though.

I'm an American (yay!) and it WOULD be nice to see the US team actually get SOMEWHERE because they really aren't doing very well in international play. I know that Klinsmann would do a good job with ANY team, but I really CANNOT (and will not) picture him coaching any other team. :P

it'd be really fantastic to see them go somewhere, because no matter how much i love Australia and Portugal and Spain, until they're out, my team is the USA. i can't help it. i think half our players suck, MLS is full of idiots, and most of our fans are total imbecils, most of whom just don't get this sport or the World Cup. i also hate that our nickname is Sam's Army, why does everything have to be so aggressive and war related with this country? but if we could get a good coach and a half decent squad together that would go to Coppa America and play friendlies with teams like Mexico, i might actually be excited to root for them. i really think we need a European coach. it just makes sense. we also need to be sending more players to Europe instead of strangling them until they go public saying how rotten they're being treated and how they're pretty much being robbed of a real career.

"my team is the USA"
^I admire your loyalty. But I'm sorry to say I can't say the same because the only reason I even LOOKED at football was because of Germany. And so, any other nation's team just isn't the same. Although, it's interesting to see how the USA does in international play.

MLS is definitely full of idiots, ever wonder why most GOOD football players are in Europe? LOL. And I didn't know that our nickname was Sam's Army, but yes, why is it war-related? That's a very interesting question.

And yah, if USA get a half decent squad + good coach, the US might just be able to do better than they've been doing the past years. XP

He'd totally kick 'Sam's Army' into shape. I still won't cheer for the US side (I usually just look away...) as much as France or the Czech Republic, but I'll laugh ... and maybe they could accomplish something :D

"I still won't cheer for the US side."
^I wouldn't either, because I've never associated football with America. I've associated SOCCER with America. And soccer means MLS. (which is one of the dumbest leagues ever, in my opinion)

But maybe, just maybe...they could.

MLS makes me sad. :( La Liga is my love and always will be. I mean, MLS is fine, but it's just not on the same level. You can't even make the comparison.

MLS is (i'm very sorry) but it's a joke. Most Americans don't even care about football on the professional level. (which is strange because there are TONS of little football leagues in every city)

Annd, I don't really have a favorite league, but rather favorite teams to watch. :P

No offence taken at all, I don't care much for MLS but I adore soccer... my dad's not American so I grew up very into soccer. When he was little he wanted to be Pelé. XD

Mmm... I love La Liga in general above everything else (except perhaps Ligue 1), but when it comes to the Premiership, Serie A, etc., yeah, there are teams I prefer.

First of all, LOVE your Klose/Ballack icon. Very cute. :D

And "I don't care much for MLS but I adore soccer"
ME TOO! *points at self*

Well, my parents don't really like any sports, so I had to find my own interests. XD

Isn't it?!?! The entire German team is adorable. Esp. Lehmann :). I need icons of him!

yaaay fellow non-MLS soccer addicts unite!

Aww... my dad's into ANY sport. He'll watch it all. And he eventually came to like American football, though I guess if you live in Philadelphia you kind of have to be an Eagles fan or they'll kick you out or something.

Haha, we should all make a non-MLS soccer addicts community. XP

And LOL, they probably WOULD kick you out.

Brilliant idea XD. I'm definitely bookmarking this thread so I'll remember and this can be done. First post: Real Madrid picspam, followed shortly by Miro because I love him. A lot.

Mind if I add you?
