Well, today was not my bloody day, though it was quite bloody all the same!
Had conditioning practice today - love those! I love running and challenging myself. Apparently, though, there were a few sharp objects on the field (glass, broken CD's etc), and I put them ALL to good use. *sigh*
First I cut my palm on my left hand but didn't notice. Quite unfortunate medical condition - I lack pain nerves on my hands, arms and feet, and in some places where they do exist they are either very weak or very slow. Hereditary in my family. So, anyway, when my coach realized I was bleeding all over my partner quite profusely, he made me go inside and wash it off. It was pretty bad, but I stopped the blood eventually and got back out there.
Then, when Brandon and I were doing push-ups opposite each other, he informed me I was bleeding AGAIN. I said it was no big deal, cause I thought the previous scratch opened again. He then proceeded to basically command me to go inside immidiately. I didn't even realize what the fuck happened, because when I looked down on my hand it was all covered in blood and dripping all over, and the blood gushing at a panicky speed in huge amounts. By the time I got myself to the school bathroom, I had my jersey soaked in blood, for I was hopelessly trying to wrap it up as to not get blood all over the floors.
When I started panicking was when I couldn't stop it and it started going harder, and I now couldn't even apply pressure. Because my blood is so thin I was deemed by doctors to be lucky to have escaped official hemophilia (sickness where once you start bleeding, it's almost impossible to stop, because it doesn't clot), so I completely freaked out (which is sad, because everyone knows that females cannot suffer from hemophilia, but my body never DID function as it's SUPPOSE to). Ran to the office. Got all the hallways in my blood. Half-hour later the secretaries managed to stop the violent blood-flow and wrap it up to the best of their abilities.
Yep. *sigh* Stiches. The freezing didn't work (as those things NEVER do on me!!!), the needle itself hurt like a bitch, and then putting in the stitches without working anesthetics wasn't a tickle either. Now that my hand is "waking up", it hurts even more. The doc said the cut went down almost to the bone and advised me to keep it wrapped for a week. THE FOOTBALL SEASON IS OVER IN A WEEK!!! Gotta find a way.
