Last day in Cam

Rooms look so depressing when they're packed up. It's weird that every 8-9 weeks I pack my entire life up and go back home, as if existence here had never occurred. At least my noticeboard is suitably filled with *me* stuff - photos, postcards, my crazy inflammation poster and so on.

The other strange thing is that life in Cambridge can be so depressing; I think most people here spend more than half their time in some sort of low mood. Yet although having looked forward to this moment - going home - for about four weeks, I'm now slightly loath to go. As if everything would immediately become amazingly wonderful and fun as soon as I leave. Weirdness.

The term hasn't been too bad all in all; quite productive as far as work is concerned, and I still have all my friends, which is always good! Imo poor thing lost two best friends this term, both through stupid misinterpretations and so on; although the girls are both a bit odd to be honest...

Last night was very random. OB Dinner at Christ's (ick, even the scarves are horrible) with sherry, red wine and port. Was sitting next to Kate and diagonally opposite Cat so that was nice, and Angus was on my other side. Anyway, ended up (some glasses of red wine later) trying to keep up with Angus and James Huff (who most certainly is NOT buff any more, he's put on so much weight - why do boys not learn that they won't always be able to eat as much as they want without consequences?! Once they stop growing vertically, they start growing outwards) and we were downing port. And then I persuaded them to come out afterwards but we ended up at Spoons and I don't really remember the majority of that until I found myself outside, having been asked to leave by the bouncers because apparently I was too drunk!! Oh dear...*note to self - do not try to keep up with big rugby-playing boys who are used to drinking*

It was sort of strange drunkenly conversing with them, considering I think I'd spoken a total of zero words in my entire life to James. And I vaguely remember telling Angus really random stuff... I think there was a conversation about people's status back at school and I told him that I was hot and therefore should have been held in higher esteem (!) Well, there are my true colours people!

Right, back to packing - the computer is the only thing I haven't put away yet, so it's off into its case. See you guys back home :)
