finally reached a state where I'm bored enough to update...
Wow I don't think I've actually had time to sit and update this thing properly since before I came back up to college...madness!
Even though I do have an essay and a presentation to do before Monday...but the presentation is half done; and weekends are when essays are done! So it's all good...
So in the past six weeks:
Started neurobiology (weird picking preserved brains out of tubs to look at), pharmacology (deathly boring but we get to do illegal drugs - well, study them anyway! - in our option) and pathology (yay! viruses! it's fun!). Although I may have given myself herpes simplex virus in the practical yesterday - I don't want cold sores!!
Broken my nose according to Abi (it's just bruised, I don't even need makeup for cover now) while being the drunkest I potentially have ever been having gone to a bop after not eating any dinner..and ended up at Dave's room party. Damn fun though. And no, I have no idea how my nose came to be blue and incredibly painful the next morning... I want to say I fell up some stairs but that's just a vague guess really..
Saw the biggest fireworks display in England (apparently). It was cool, like a mini-festival. Gorged on candyfloss (which doesn't seem to be good for soaking up alcohol..see previous comment).
Seen Cat start Cambridge! And going to see her play tomorrow hopefully :)
Had *far* too many supervisions. My DoS wants us to have eight per subject, when the compulsory number is six. Add the fact that we have four a week, plus another one soon apprently...and my path one is two miles away! Joy...
Booked tickets to see Ben Elton next term..very exciting :) Booked tickets for flights to PRAGUE in December with Dave - even more exciting!
Bought a bottle of vodka in the first week and haven't even opened it - that's just depressing.
Seen Dave almost every day - I think it'll be odd next year not having him around if we're still together. We've been together for nine months and seven days :) :) :)
Joined MagSoc - woo for singing again - my voice can still reach a B flat, a fact I was amazed by..
Played in my first netball match for Newnham against (surprise, surprise) Queens' - we won 11-3!
And lots of other things besides that I can't really be arsed to write about. Ali and Laurie came up a couple of weeks ago, which was really nice, just a shame I had to run off to my (2 mile away) supervision. Twas cool though.
I really want to go to Selwyn snow ball!! I'm on the waiting list but I doubt I'll get to go..annoying. My mummy is coming up on Friday which is exciting, haven't seen her for ages and she can take me out for dinner! And with that I'm off to make coffee.
