11:00 a.m. --- Sunday morning---
I have been thinking about this update for a few days now. Now that I have a few minutes to myself to catch my breath here, I think I will rise to the ocassion and give this a shot.
I had 4th of july off, but then since that tuesday (the 5th) I hadnt had a day off until today. That equals a 52 hour week and a 78 hour week... 130 total youngin'. That right there is some crazy ass shit and has got me so tried that a coma sounds pleasant right now. Anyhow, with all this working, especially at the Wyandotte street fair this week/weekend, I have essentially lost connection to anything and anyone. Well, almost...
As I sat at my computer this morning I read everyone's lj... I had about as much reading to catch up on as I do with my class. Oh yea, ha that stupid english class started the 5th. You guess it, 130 hours of work and 12 days later, I have nothing done! Here's a lil from my readings...
It's funny how much can change from one entry to another isnt it?- Cory
But lately I'm beginning to find that I should be the one behind the wheel.- Todd
The crew is back together. I dont know if that is a good thing or a bad thing.- Tony
They all had girlfriends at the beginning of the summer, except me of course. They are all single now, and its actually a lot of fun. This last month, there have been many drunken nights with the guys. Alot of drama, espcially with the females they had in there lives, but now its kind of going smoothly.- Tony
I always cave to do what people want, and for once I did what I wanted. Fuck everyone else, I left happy.- Cory
It's funny, I dont know the last time the four of us were all single at the same time. It's a good way to end out summer. - Cory
Last night all of us hung out. It was me, Nicole, her friend Amanda, Nikki, Big T, Matt, and Tony. We went down to the Wyandotte street fair to see Tony in action. - Cory
In about a month, Matt will be going back to EMU, Cory and Tony will be going back to CMU, and i will be left here by myself to just chill. It will be awkward knowing that you cant make a phone call and with in 2 minutes have everyone together, but it happens.- Tony
The grandpa is not doing good at all. I know that he is sick, but the whole time I was denying the fact that he was sick. Probably because part of me is really going to miss him. It's tough.- Tony
Matt talked to Kelly a few times last night. He seemed ok about it until the last call he got from her when we were at my house. He seemed really sad about whatever they talked about, and I feel really bad for him. I know he still has feelings for her, and I know she still has feelings for him, but for some reason they cant find their niche. It's a shame.- Cory
Who cant say they dont like to see how the drama unfolds?- Cory
I am only young...I don't know where I get off writing this stuff, but I am excited. No other words! I know things are going great...and I am looking up at this great mountain of life...ready to scale to the top.- Todd
That right there was a little flavor from some of my boys...
This past weekend at Wyandotte was great. On Wednesday night we got things rollin'. Matt, Cory, Tony and some girls came up and I got paid to hang with them. That is always a nice little bonus. By time them came out on Thursday night again, I had built my realtionship with all the volunteers, who turned out to be the Old Timers Ball Club. Brett and his new fiance, wow thats weird, came up as well and we all had a great time at deny's afterwards.
Wednesday and Thursday held a little drama as cupid flew around landing crush arrows in everyone's ass. I wanted no part of it, but yet someone managed to almost get caught into some weird shaped, perhaps rhombus-style love triangle. But like I said, I managed to stay out...
I had a crew with me for Friday and Saturday night, when we did 110 and 71 barrels respectively. That my friends is a total of 241 barrels in 4 days... working at these beer tents is sort of an out of body experience. You get so busy, with so many people. You hear so much noise, while doing so many things at once. And then bam, its all over with and you look around, take a breath, and see 110 empty barrels.
The OTBC crew was a great group of guys. Lead by the two Eds and a Dick, all of them turned out to be a ton of fun. I love how each festival has a group of volunteers that becomes like a little family for the weekend. Spending over 50 hours in 4 days with these guys will do that do ya... but I honestly wouldn't mind working with these guys every weekend of the summer. When all was said and done, they invited me to their club for some pizza. I was a little behind most of the guys because I had to break down my equipment, but my entrance into their little bar (tracks) was well worth it. After some b.s.ing, a few drinks, and some pizza, I was ready to head home. It took me 40 mintues to make my way around the bar and say bye to all the guys. I felt like I was leaving family...
On my way home, I got pulled over because I sped through a yellow light right on the corner by my house. I was so exhausted that I didnt feel like waiting. Bam... who is on the other side of the street, you guessed it! I got pulled over... The cop comes up does his thing, I look up, and he says... "May I see your license and, hey!, aren't you the beer guy from the festival?" I laughed and said yes... "Aight man, slow down and get the hell out of here." I will, thanks... whew.
So yea, exhausted and all, here I am. Oh yea, on friday night court and I talked for 40 minutes and it was our best conversation ever since we broke up. I really miss her, not as a girlfriend, but just as her. She was a big part of my life and I still want her to be my friend. Hopefully with time we can make this work. On that note, hopefully the same will hold true with Riley, who I hope I can be friends with again when school starts up. Nikki.. yea, I want to be friends with her too, but lately when we talk its weird. We have talked but a few times on the phone and the conversations were honestly not that comfortable or great.
The Wings look like they will return soon... but they will be a different team. The first piece, Mike Babcock is their new coach. Another brilliant move by Wing's upper management.
Okay, this damn thing is pretty damn long. I am going to go shower and hit C-money up so we can pound some of this class out. Now that I have my book, my excuse has no merit.
Be easy.
