Hey-o. Well, yesterday was pretty good. I had to work, but only from 5-7, so that was pretty good. Phil and I talked about God, so that was cool. We talked about whether or not Judas went to hell.
Just for verification, I do not think he did.
He didnt, and if he did, well then all of us are screwed...
So, work was good.
After work, I had to go home, pack my bags, and head over to my grandparents. My dads parents, that is. My grandma on my my mothers side is in the hospital... my mom left on Monday to go see her. While she was there, my grandma had horrible chest pains and they admitted her to the hospital. My mom didnt come home Tuesday. She didnt come home yesterday. She isnt coming home today. So, my dad went in to see my gma and bring my mom clothes and a toothbrush.
But yea, so I packed up to go over to my grandparents and then I went over to Kyles. Ky, Cassandra and I went for ice cream at cold stone, which apparently, is the happening place considering all the other people who went yesterday. Personally, I think that it is pricey... but I didnt pay for it, and peanut butter was involved.... so it was okay by me!
The other day Kyle and I called potting shed and got the flower stuff worked out for prom and it made me sooo happy, because we are getting free upgrades AND now we know that they will match just perfectly! We are getting white flowers, royal blue ribbon, and silver sparkles =)
So, yes free upgrades. Free is good. Kyle gets a magnet instead of a pin, which will be dandy. I get lights in my corsage, or however you spell it. EVERYONE SHOULD ORDER FROM POTTING SHED AND THEY WILL GIVE YOU A FREE UPGRADE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am -sooooooooo- excited for prom!!!! That whole weekend is going to be awesome. Friday... hehe. Saturday is a long day of primping and then the dance. I love dancing with Kyle =) Sunday, Chicago. Monday, Senior Skip Day...and Nicole skip day. Since I am graduating early, I wont get a genuine senior skip day of my own, therefore, I am skipping this year =) Lots of Kyle =) Thats my favorite kind of weekend!!!
Omgsh, this is the saddest thing ever!
Okay, listen, at the BCC where I intern, there are 7 children with various problems... Brandon S, Brandon F, Julie, Autumn, Angel, Dylan, and Ryan.
Ryan and Brandon F are in wheelchairs and the other ones, well, you cant even tell that something is wrong with them. The only reason I know is because working there, I have been educated as to the signs of different neurological ailments and such...
The one who really breaks my heart is Brandon F.
He is three years old, but honestly, he couldnt pass for a one year old. He is so unresponsive...he cant eat solid foods...he is really bad. And today I found out what happened...
When his mother was pregnant, she got a really bad cold. Anyone who knows anything at all about children should know that a cold is much worse on a fetus than on the mother... and any idiot should know that you should not take medication while pregnant. He was already weakened by the cold... and then she pumped him full of cough syrup and pain killers...-idiot-
When he was born, it wasnt horrible. He had a lot of problems, but the doctors said that they were problems that often had happy endings...
Then at 5 weeks old, they got into a major car accident. Both of his parents died, and Brandon will never be ..OKAY. Ever.... he could have been, but that accident, gosh. Not only did it take away his parents, but it left this sweet little boy stiff as a board, unresponsive...what is he even here for? It seems so twisted that God knows all of this, knows what is going to happen, gives things purpose.... but we just cant understand.
It makes me wonder.... why?
I just dont know.
Speaking of which, I heard something interesting on the radio the other day, and it wasnt even on a Christian station. John Tesh was talking about this scientist who found something that strongly suggests that there is something in our DNA which causes us to look for a higher power. How interesting.
Ughhhh I am so annoyed with stupid Kishwaukee school. Bah hum bug.I need to shadow there, and I can not get ahold of them! Golly gee whiz. I cant wait for today to be over.
I am on call at L2, and so I have to call at 4 to see if I go in 5-10.
Well I gotta go, the bell is ringing!
Toodles, Nicolie
