Favorite concerts.

Fear Factory. At a small venue in San Antonio, Texas... there was no stage barrier, there were no thugs in the way... so the crowd surfers made it all the way to the stage. they got up there with Burton, Christian, Dino, and Ramond, screwed around for a while then STAGE DIVED back into the crowd. that was the best spectacle i have ever seen.

COLD. Cold had to pull out of a concert (with a papa roach headliner...Papa ROACH?!?!? that shit pissed me off.) so... no cold at that concert... a few months later they did a make-up show at a small club. it was awesome. They played "Strip her down" they never play that one. it was a great show.

Marilyn Manson. This dude can put on one hell of a show. He lives up to all of his hype. There are naked women, freaky shit, self mutilation, all kinda of cool shit. i would go see his concerts over and over again. in fact, i've caught 2 of his shows on the same tour, and both were awesome.

Rammstein. One word: PYROTECHNICS. enough said. well, i gotta say something about the music. the guitar from Rammstein is the ultimate. Industrial, hard, visual, german. i've only seen them once, but i'll always count them as one of my faves.

Staind. I have alot of emotional attachment to staind. Thier show was great. it may have been the person that i went to the concert with that made it for me... but the show was still good. the music is the ultimate. ( plus they came on right after COLD at the concert i went to.)

GWAR. Never have i been coverd in PISS & BLOOD untill that GWAR show. their music leaves something to be desired but their show is the SHIT. the theatrics, the stage presence, the spectacle. i love it. And i love my wife for taking me to it. it was freaking awesome.

Static-X. Wayne static isn't much of a singer. yes, i can admit it. he doesn't need to be. that is the beauty of Static-X. The overall sound of the band is impressive.... Wayne uses his voice as an insturment. (rather than singing) (that probaally doesn't make sense to most of you) They used to play their practice shows in SAN ANTONIO in a crappy little "convention center" Eight Bucks a show. it was the best.

ILL NINO. I'd never heard of them... they opend for Fear Factory one time. I remember thinking to myself as they played... "These guys are fucking awesome" i fell in love with their music and have been a fan ever since. infact... once i realized that they were on the ROADRUNNER record label... i decided to make that my favorite. I'll listen to anyone who releases an album on that label (thanks to ILL NINO)

Mudvayne. Again, Never heard of them... Caught them at the "tattoo the earth" tour. (as headlined by Slipknot) No one had heard of them, actually they were on at like 10:00 a.m. but i remember thinking to myself that "i'm really going to like these guys. i'll have to remember their name. And i have.

Seven Mary Three. The first time i heard these guys live... i was actually standing in line to get into the (as previously mentiond Fear Factory concert) they were playing across the street. 7M3 has always been one of my favorite bands and i was sad to have missed this concert. then when i moved to INDY they had some kind of free concert that my awesome wife snagged tickets to. Thanks for that, babe.

Ozzy Osbourne. That old mutherfucker can put on a hell of a show. actually the first time i saw him live it was on an OZZFEST where he convinced Tony, Geezer, and Bill to reunite as BLACK SABBATH. i'm glad to have witnessed it. I've caught Ozzy a couple of times since then, but SABBATH rules.

Type-O-Negative. It was my 22nd birthday. April 1 1999. (you may have seen the pictures of me just before i went to that concert) I dont know if i liked Coal Chamber or Type-O-Negative better that night... but it was a great show. (dispite the power outtage due to thunderstorms that lasted 45 mins.)

Dry-Kill-Logic. Another Roadrunner Records group. i caught them as an opener for a fear factory concert. the mutherfucker on vocals from this band will make you wanna wet your bed from fear. he was angry and scary. a great combination for music. (if you ask me)

SLIPKNOT. Another pyro-technics band. like 9 guys in the band... 6 of them are percussionists. if you've never heard them you wouldn't understand, i guess. but the freaky clown thing they have going on for themselves was pretty unique at the time. (they were the headliners of the previously mentioned "Tattoo the Earth" tour that i went to)

Sepultura. While i'm on the "tattoo the earth" tour... they were there too. well not really Sepultura but Max Cavllera. with his new band. but hell... it was SEPULTURA. i think they're from brazil or something. they've got that hard-fucking-die-heavy-anger-passion-pounding-guitar-driven sound. it was awesome to see them live.

i could probally go on for hours with this post.... i really could. one day i wll post a list of musicians/bands that i would LIKE to see in concert. but never have.

that list may be longer than this one.

i would like to appologize to anyone who read this entire post. i realize it was probally a big, fat waste of your time. but thank you for reading.
