Not to be irreverant of the staunch, STAUNCH, patriotism of the story (and if you're going to use a character who's patrioticly American, it had better be Cap, aughten't it?) but one can almost hear the orchestra swell and the theme from "Patton" (or perhaps "Love Lift Us Up Where We Belong" ) start as he saves Old Glory from the burning building.
Miller knew his choreography, unlike most of the artists of his day. P15's kting/ktang/copcar sequence rules. Too bad Klaus didn't do the inks, though. --GarBut

I agree - Janson could have made a lot of this look a lot more human - you can already see a twinge of his Sin City stylisation kicking in too...
