I just saw the Drowsy Chaperone on Broadway and it blew me away. Exactly the kind of show I want to be in. They were all characters that were rediculous in their own right yet emotionally connected to the audience at the same time. It's a show that pokes fun at the shows of yore and the kind of people who sit and memorize a show's music. It reaffirmed the power of theatre for me, in that one of the characters was able to just say his name and get tons of laughs.
