I have had a very busy couple of days!
On Saturday I got up at some stupid hour to bus up to Sydney, where I was picked up by veronamay and sloane_m, and we went shopping. I spent an insane amount of money in Lush and had to close my eyes and charge blindly out of Galaxy before I bought anything else.
Then we walked up through the Rocks (so many stairs!) to The Australian, where we met lemmealone, nu_breed, vileseagulls, girlmostlikely and mel_b_angel for lunch. It was the kind of long, drawn-out lunch where everyone hits 'tipsy' early on and just stays like that, never getting appreciably drunker, while discuss things like fandom, and that other fandom, and fannish stuff, and that person's wedding dress, and beer, and whether or not icecream and cocktails mix.
We ended up in a cocktail bar in Circular Quay with the cute Irish barman and the other barman who looked like Zac Efron if her was of normal-person height. And cocktails were drunk, including this enormous chocolate-caramel thing that was like an orgasm in a tall glass. And also shots of tequila. I am banned from tequila, but this was really good tequila.
Anyhoo, we left the others and headed back to Sel's place, where she vanished to do her NaNo allotment and Sloane and I watched the latest epi, with me making little, high-pitched delighted noises into my fists.
And then, because I am a total lightweight, I was in bed couch before eleven, much to Sel's disgust. The following morning we watched High School Musical 3 just because we could, and then caught the bus into town, where I got on the bus to take me home.
Monday I had lunch with moirasaoirse and almosee, and we went back to Nat's place and kidded around, wokring on our webseries H.M.S.S. Futility (The most boring Starship in the whole universe) and watching Doctor Who, to which I have no reaction that can really be printed.
And then today I had a picnic with a girl I am trying to convince to be my new roommate, and applied for many, many jobs.
