(OOC: HEY CONVOY PEOPLE YOU'RE KINDA NOT ALONE ON THE SHIP RIGHT NOW.
As approved by the first mate there are now a few Shadows on the ship, trying to hide in the rubble. Shadows are creatures (usually in the form of black blobs) that are born from humans and are basically fragments of the darker parts of human minds and personalities. They have human emotions (mostly negative) and live on animal instinct.
...but they are also, at this moment, harmless. While they DO become agitated and aggressive in foggy weather and can kill a person, they are pretty lethargic right now and are also trying to be on their best behavior! (because they want to stay with daddy :<) However, as a certain someone in P4 explains "These things move on pure instinct! They go wild because you defy them!" They reaaaally like people who "accept" them, but they will fight back if "rejected"/attacked. So in the case your character decides to attack a Shadow they find, they will retaliate but also try to run away. If you don't attack... well they'll be fine with you! Although they might try to find a new hiding place regardless.
Unless you're a Persona user. In which case they hate you and will try to attack you immediately.
Summary: they are harmless unless you attack them or are a Persona user. You are free to find black sludge like creatures nestling in the rubble as your characters clean up and react accordingly.
There were originally 3 but a few more may have surfaced. They can be defeated by normal means if you do choose to attack them, but the best way to fight them is with a Persona, and I ask that only Persona users "finish them off"/kill them quickly.

Also don't worry about your brains getting nommed, these guys are more well behaved than that. - 3-)
