A teacher is me
Another milestone in my life. I am now a teacher, and to a lesser extent a sage and a healer.
I taught my first Laban Movement Analysis student today. I've taught the material before to classes of people but they haven't been my students. I've been a guest. I've taught martial arts before, but again, as a student teaching to help out. Now I have my own student. Just one, but that's enough. There is a lot of really exciting and good stuff going on in our process. I am very happy about how it is going.
Also, for those (few) who already know what the hell I'm talking about, I actually used Authentic Movement and it was exactly the right tool and form for this student and this process. Incredible, as it was the part of the IMS program that I identified with least. I suppose wonders do not actually cease. Also, though I entered the program with a strongly logical and rational (read anti-emotional) mindset and world view, my first student is exploring very emotional things and I am completely comfortable with it. I am well trained. Impressive.
