I am not going to join those hearty and potent of you in National Novel Writing Month. I have other goals this month. I am however going to join you in writing. Just not a novel.

I will be starting (and I intend on it taking significantly more than a month) to write a book about Space Harmony, a branch of theory in Laban Movement Analysis. At present there are no exceedingly useful books on the subject. It will be nonfiction, and be accessible to varying groups of people. About 1/4 will be useful and understandable to rank beginners and those with no experience whatsoever. Another quarter will be for students interested in learning the whole of Laban Movement Analysis and want a more comprehensive education in Space Harmony. A third quarter will be useful for CMAs and CLMAs - people already fully trained in Laban Movement Analysis and Space Harmony. The fourth quarter will be as deep and as intense as I can make it, targeted at those who really care about Space Harmony, the geometry and mathematics of it, the ramifications from a body, mind, emotion, and spiritual level, and the most esoteric branches of the system.

I've chosen to start writing in November to keep you novelists company, though as I mentioned before, I have no illusions of finishing this month. I intend to spend several years on this, with a good chunk starting now.

If any of you have any questions, or are curious about any of this work, or want me to team up with regard to NaNoWriMo, let me know. No guarantees I can make you happy, but I'll give it a shot.
