Top 5 favorite Booth/Brennan scenes (that are not ending scenes) from season 4
As season 5 gets closer and closer (yay!), I felt like looking back at all the pretty scenes we got in season 4 and making a top 5 list of my favorite Booth/Brennan scenes. This list doesn't include ending scenes of episodes because those are so awesome they deserve a whole seperate list. I attempted to put them in order, with number 1 being my favorite scene, which was hard! But mostly this was just an excuse to look at pretty caps, mkay? Onto my top 5...
5. Back adjustment scene from episode 4x15 a.k.a. the OMGBOOTHISINHISUNDERWEAR! and Emily looks gorgeous scene
I love this scene because it shows that Booth doesn't mind being vulnerable in front of Brennan. He calls her over when he's in pain and trusts her to fix it for him. He opens the door in his underwear! He uses his charm smile on her, which he totally knows will work. And also, the lighting in this scene is really pretty.
4. Sexy librarian scene from episode 4x10 a.k.a. the Mile High Club anyone? scene
This scene is really hot! I think this is the first time Booth has been this flirtatious and forward with her. Brennan is clueless of course, which could be annoying if it wasn't so endearing. Little Miss Role-play didn't understand the sexy librarian concept? Suuuure! And I love, love, love how Booth towers over her in this scene. Usually they're so close in height because Emily's so tall, but in this scene there's a noticable difference in height. Or it's the way the scene was shot. Either way, I like!
3. The fight scene from episode 4x09 a.k.a. the poor Booth! *sad face* scene
This scene is still really hard for me to watch, but it's such a great scene at the same time. The whole Jared/Booth-lite thing still rubs me the wrong way since I felt like it was too late in the game for Brennan to doubt Booth like she did. But still, I think Brennan can be very naive and quick to believe things about people. She can be very black and white, and what was going on between Booth and Jared was grey. She doesn't always understand that. Booth was so hurt in this scene, which I love because it shows how much her opinion of him matters to him. He needs her to have a good opinion of him. What I love even more was how scared/shocked Brennan was by Booth's reaction. She wasn't prepared for his anger. I don't know if that's a good or a bad thing, she obviously says what's on her mind, and I think this time she knew she'd crossed a line.
2. Brennan checks on Booth scene from episode 4x19 a.k.a. Brennan + touching Booth's face = me dead from the cuteness! scene
Would season 1 Brennan have done this? NO! She didn't have to touch his face, he had no visible bruise and was fine, but she did anyway. She checks on him, he compliments her by telling her she's the only smart person he likes. Perfect, subtle, example of their give and take dynamic.

This might just be one of my favorite Booth/Brennan scenes ever! I could watch this over and over, never get tired of it, and probably find some new meaning in it every time. When Brennan finally shows up, he just lights up and it seems like he's feeling better just being in her presence. When he asks her to be in the operating room with him, it obviously wasn't just for himself. He knows she'd go crazy in the waiting room, so being in the operating room gives her just a teeny bit of control. It gives her a purpose (holding his hand, being there), instead of just waiting. He knows what she needs in that moment, not just what he himself needs. And the way they look at each other! It was like Booth was trying to memorize everything about her, in case something went wrong. So much love. ♥
