[Fools, smoke, and Roxas all rise to high places. He doesn't really say anything though. Too distracted by the sunset and some other thoughts. But after a moment he holds out a blue ice cream bar. Times like this call for sea salt ice cream]

[Well hi there, Roxas. How you doin.]

[Heather watches him for a second or two, then takes the bar.]

Pretty nice view, huh?

Yeah. It really is.

[It reminds him of home, so he's a little melancholic. Sunsets were an important part of his day.]

[She notes the slight gloom, but... well, he IS Roxas... he's a quiet kid. So for the moment, she just takes a bite out of the bar he just handed her-- then wrinkles her nose a little. That... is a flavor she's NEVER tasted before.]

What kinda ice cream is this?

It's Sea Salt. It's my favorite flavour. Back home, at the end of the day, my friends and I would go to the top of the clocktower, eat ice cream and watch the sunset.

Just seemed to fit.

[She blinks, then takes another, experimental bite. It's... not bad. Just different.]

Huh...

[She speaks around the mouthful, rolling it around over her tongue to let it melt.]

Never heard of it before...

Sounds like you and your friends had a nice routine, though.

I used to do stuff kinda like that a few years back... but the friends I did it with weren't really the best.

[Heather hadn't run with a good crowd back in high school...]

Eh...

None of us were like... evil're anything... but it was high school. We were all more interested in acting out and shocking our parents than we were in each other.

Good-for-nothings, the whole lot of us.

Oh...I think it get.

[There's a pause]

What's it like having a parent?

[She pauses, too-- then lets out a sort of quiet laugh.]

It's hard to describe.

... N'it's something I think most people who have 'em don't realize until it might be too late...

What if you don't have them?

Then you make do with whatever you do have.

... Until you find some. Or they find you. ... Doesn't always turn out like that, though.

I don't even know what to look for, but there are some people..

... It's probably easier to get by without 'em if you've never had any...
