[action] FINALLY SHE CAN BE A PROPER MOTHER FIGURE 8| forhishappiness December 26 2010, 22:17:47 UTC
[She was a bit tired after all these days of not sleeping to shorten distances and arrive to a city near her friends soon. Kisa was safe with her cousin, so there was no need for her to be in the middle of that family, especially in this holiday.

When she reached Goldenrod, all she could think was in walking around to deliver the presents for those around there and quickly move to the next city. She was wearing her normal clothes, that in another situation would make anyone have a cold, as if it were pretty calm for her.

Of course, she searched for Heather. Expecially when she thinks she saw her on the rooftop. So feel free to meet her in your way back.]

[Heather wasn't expecting to really run into anybody this late at night. It wasn't that she thought everyone would be asleep or something-- this was the city. It never slept.]

[But it WAS cold out, and given the occasion, it didn't seem like anyone would be out walkin'. Needless to say, though, on her way back to the hotel, she found herself walking towards Ur (though she didn't recognize her right away, distracted as she was) from the opposite direction, hands in pockets.]

[action] IT TOOK A WHILE, BUT...! forhishappiness December 26 2010, 22:55:18 UTC
[Oh, that's the face she was looking for. She notices that Heather didn't see her, that's why she's going to call out for her.]

Hey.

[Heather looks up at the greeting, frowning briefly before recognition lit up her face.]

Oh-- ... uh, hey.

Ur, right?

Right.

... Wanna go and eat something? My treat.

[She pauses, giving Ur a somewhat wary look. Then she seems to realize what she's doing and just shakes her head, looking ahead down the street-- she didn't know this lady too well, but she'd always been friendly enough.]

Eh... I'm, uh... not really too hungry. I was heading back to the hotel.

Thanks, though...

What about a hot chocolate?

[Then she remembers something and gives her a small box, with her gift inside.]

[Another pause.]

.... I guess I could deal with that.

[Her expression turns bewildered when she's handed the box, though.]

Er-- ... what's this?

[DERR.]

It's Christmas. It's a gift for you.

[Cue a COMPLETELY BLANK LOOK on Heather's face.]

[Mere acquaintances, giving her gifts? Now there was something that hadn't happened in a long time. Unless you counted Stanley but that was totally different.]

I, uh...

[She opens the box slowly, nonplussed.]

It's not something so great, but I thought you would find it an use.

[Inside it, there are a new pair of gloves for this weather, and another pair of badass leather gloves.]

[Heather just STARED at the gloves for a moment.]

... I-- ...

[Shutting the box again, she smiled a little and looked back at Ur.]

Thanks. I think I'll be able to use 'em.

You're welcome. Now, let's go for that chocolate.

[She smiles a bit and starts leading the way.]

[Heather pauses for a second or two, still looking down at that box-- then shakes herself and jogs after Ur.]

Wait! I uh-- ... don't have anything for you...

[And the unspoken question is 'Why would YOU get something for ME...?']

You're goin' to drink a chocolate with me. That's enough.

... Well uh... my dad taught me it was nice to always return the gesture of gifts. If you don't mind.

[The next day, she'll be tracking Ur down with a box of ginger snaps-- but for the moment, she'll follow her willingly-enough to the coffee shop for hot chocolate. It's certainly cold enough... hot beverages can't do any harm.]
