[Given the work week, Heather has not had a chance to really enjoy the snow that much. Whether the Pokemon world celebrates Christmas the same way most 'normal' ones do is up for debate, but one thing is clear: holiday shopping is universal. The Department Store has been going absolutely insane with gaudy decorations and increasingly-frenzied

YOU.
[DRAMATIC POINT!]

A-ack!
[BRB WALKING FASTER--
...until he trips over Lady (who starts Furrring with amusement) and falls flat on his face right before he reaches the stairs.]
...hi there. O-ow...
Reply
[She even starts to march menacingly after him-- until he trips, whereupon she actually stops and looks concerned. UH-- OOPS. SHE DIDN'T MEAN FOR THAT TO HAPPEN.]
... Uh.
Aheh.
Whoops.
You okay?
[She heads over to the crumpled lawyer and bends down a little to make sure he didn't like... hit his head and die or something.]
Reply
He sits up, rubbing his head and grimacing a bit.] First a ledge, then a tree, and now the ground... no one loves me...
[Why, yes, he is just going to grumble to himself until he notices Heather, whereupon he just gives her a sheepish grin and says;] Fine, just fine.
[He picks himself up completely, shoving his hands into the pockets of his new ominous gray sweater. At least he doesn't have a hat!.]
...so, where do you think you're going?

Outside!
I haven't gotten to enjoy the snow ALL WEEK.
I've got catching up to do!
[She tilts her head a little at that gray sweater. ... Ew, why did it look so gross for some reason. ... It was decided. She was getting him a nicer one than that for Christmas.]

...are you insane? [Just the THOUGHT of being outside in all that snow makes him compusively shiver, rubbing at his forearms a bit. He's cold right now and he's INSIDE, dangit!
And don't worry, Cujo, there's an incredibly chubby Mareep waddling over to you to say hi! It looks like only Lady and Mia are with Phoenix at the moment; and Lady is giving him a very Arty-esque look. YOU ARE SO UNCOUTH, MUTT.]
Reply
It's sort of the same, thing, and it even rhymes.
I'm guessin' you've never seen this kinda weather in your LIFE, huh, California boy?
[Cujo's attention IMMEDIATELY goes to the Mareep. 8D OMG! ROUND FLUFFY THING! OMG! HI! BLUE. I LOVE YOU~]

[He tugs his scarf tighter around his neck, looking rather grim.] My mom took me to the mountains once, and that was enough snow to last me a lifetime. [He shrugs.] I heard it can get pretty cold in Northern California, but in Los Angeles? I've never seen it get below 40...
[Mia, ever the curious one, tilts her head at Cujo...although it's hard to tell, do to all of the fluff surround her little black face.]
Reply
[... no, she wasn't. But at least she was used to it.]
... So.
[She puts her hands on her hips.]
Are you gonna shiver in here like a pansy or are you gonna come outside with me and beat up the snow?
[Cujo is just.... in front of Mia, butt in the air and tail swishing slowly back and forth. 8U PLAY? PLAY? PLAY?!]
Reply
And at her question, well...he raises an eyebrow. Does he really have a choice, here?]
...you're going to drag me outside even if I say no, aren't you?
[Play? Mia can play! She sort of...chirps, and bounces excitedly in circles around Cujo.]
Reply
[Heather beams.]
You're very astute today, aren't you?
C'moooon, it'll be fun! You gotta at LEAST know what it's like to play in the snow.
[Cujo immediately goes into spasms of excitement and just starts-- skittering around after Mia, tail wagging like crazy.]
Reply
And Phoenix deadpans;] I don't see what's so fun about running around in a bunch of frozen water.
[Grumble, grumble. He crosses his arms over his chest, glancing away. Is it possible that Phoenix has never actually TRIED playing in the snow before? It could very well be possible!
All of this rolling is throwing Mia off balance, so she ends up toppling onto her side and...rolls towards Cujo. She doesn't seem to mind at all.]
Reply
That's because you have no soul.
C'moooon.
[She grabs onto his sleeve and gives it a tug.]
Stick it out. If you don't have fun out there, I'll buy you coffee. How's that?
[SHE WILL GET HIM TO PLAY EVEN IF SHE HAS TO DRAG HIM OUT, KICKING AND SCREAMING. She doesn't care that he's a professional, highly-qualified grown man. EVERYONE has an inner child, dammit!]
[When Mia starts rolling, Cujo's eyes just get even BIGGER. He approaches her and cautiously gives her a bat. 8U BALL?]

And...well, truth be told, he's sort of been wanting to get out some more -- chilling in the hotel with Edgeworth was nice, but he was starting to get a bit of cabin fever. Besides, it's just a little snow! He can handle it! No he can't.
So, Heather, he gives you one last "wrry" look before sighing and throwing up his hands in a sign of defeat.]
A-alright, alright, I give up. Just...give me a second to drop this off in my room, and I'll be right back down. [He'd been out on the GLORIOUS HEATED PATIO sketching before running into Heather, actually -- you may just now notice the glaring orange sketchbook tucked under his arm -- and he really doesn't want it to get destroyed running around town in the snow.]
Reply
[Heather just beams magnanimously. HEATHER: 1. PHOENIX'S WILL: 0. AW YEAH.]
Sure! Grab your coat too. It IS cold.
[She'll bounce right along after him, actually-- that orange sketchbook HAS caught her eye.]
What's thatcha got there?
[She hasn't taken much advantage of all the nice areas around the lobby and such, but she probably will once the weather gets worse and everybody is snowed in.]
