[It's a little before sun-up-- that weird hour of the morning where the sky is still dark but just starting to brighten in a thin, pale line at the horizon. Of course, where Heather was, that horizon was hidden by the trees, so it's... still mostly dark

[He shrugs. I mean, they are in a video game. The laws here aren't really...normal.]
...Why are you asking?

[And then she pauses. ... Yeah, hasn't seen this guy before. So he must be new.]
.... I take it you haven't looked at the police report network, have ya?

Well, we are in a video game. Everything can be different here...
[Then he nods. Gotta love those gestures.]
I didn't even know there were police reports around here. I just arrived here a few days ago with some friends.

This might be like a video game, but it sure as hell isn't a video game. In a video game, I wouldn't be sitting here freezing my ass off and taking three weeks to heal where I smashed my face on something.
I'd be hopping into a healing circle and sparkling all better or something.

...It could be false for all I know. I haven't met with any of these NPCs around yet...
[He shrugs again. He's...pretty calm for all of this...]
Reply
.... All the people I've met have been... kinda derpy, but not robotic.
[Though she tended to avoid the trainers lurking around in the long grass and winding paths, so she hadn't yet been exposed to their particular obsessive little subculture of weird.]

Well, I guess they're robots that act normal then? Apparently one kid named "Joey" won't stop calling if you give him your number...
Reply
... Huh. Haven't heard of him.
Anyway, I'm pretty sure the people here are not robots.
[AND SHE'S ALSO PRETTY SURE YOU ARE A WEIRDO.]
Reply
[S-SOB WHY JUST CAUSE HE CAN SUMMON SAMUEL?]
...I'm Seta Souji. Better to introduce myself now or never.
Reply
[NO HE IS JUST WEIRD. It's okay, though. Heather can deal with weird.]

Nice to meet you, Heather-san.
I guess you were here a lot longer than me, right?
