Last night a visit to the ER revealed that I have a small clot in one of the superficial (surface) veins of my left leg. It's likely not serious; just really painful and not fun at all. It's probably from the flight back from France. I did all I could: I faithfully took my anticoagulation medicine; I got up to walk and stretch on the plane every hour and a half or so; I drank plenty of water. There's really nothing else I could have done to prevent it. For now I'm just keeping the leg elevated and heated, and am going back for a second ultrasound on Tuesday to see how things look.
health,
my blood is broken
