It's been summer for 2 days, and already I'm over it. Mid 90's and crazy humid? This weather should at least have the decency to wait for July.
Had a bit of a scare yesterday what with the subway train crash in DC, so I called Rachel immediately to make sure that she and Nate were all right. They are - big relief - but there are at least 6 people who aren't, and that makes me sad.
Otherwise, can't complain. Yesterday was Josh and Steve's birthdays, and fun hijinx went down. Way, way into the night. My bedtime's usually 11:30 or 12, and we didn't even leave there until after 1:30. Today I'm gonna be a bit of a zombie.
Which, btw, Thug Prez is totally wrong, and the best weapon against a zombie is NOT a shotgun. I mean, don't get me wrong. Shotguns kick ass. But eventually you run out of bullets, or the gun gets jammed up, or you realize - oh shit - the zombie is like, practically on top of you. No, the best weapon against the zombie is an entrenching tool. This is why Kos and I will survive the zompocalypse, and Thug Prez will not.
