He’s the cookie monster people! The cookie monster!
Somewhere out there a kid is going to be sitting in front of the TV watching a grouch who lives in a trash can, two homosexual puppets named Bert and Ernie and a host of other positively San Francisco characters when they introduce the cookie less monster and the kids going to say “blanking food nazis…C is for cookie beyat..” flip the TV a bird and go play “swallow the stuff under the sink” because yet another simple feel good element of childhood has been ruined. I mean out of all the stuff that is wrong with Sesame Street they took out the cookies? FM! Someone go tell Oscar about Care not Cash and get him out of the trash can and into a rehab program!
Did anyone think that maybe the cookie monster is blue because he's depressed? Maybe being a monster on Sesame Street isn’t all its cracked up to be. Maybe he’s tired of being big and blue, maybe the girls don’t like big blue monsters. Maybe he’s self conscious about his weight. Maybe eating cookies is a cry for help. Maybe the focker just likes cookies! Give the girl scouts selling cookies the monsters address and just let him be. You never here about the unhappy teenager who ate a bag of milanos then went and shot up a school.
Besides I mean come on. With all the hype out there these days they could have spun the cookie monster off to Showtime and had Fat Monster. Give him a show on FoodTV! C is for Cookies and cookies are for you and me!
