This is the story of how we begin to remember

I watched somebody get it today. What fun!
Ya see, I've apparently acquired a puppy, the two legged kind.
A college student, a local boy, thinks I'm just the cat's pajamas. Comes around and keeps me company, eats my food, plays games and listens to stories. It would be perfect, if he were female.
Anyway, he came to hang out and seemed to actually listen to the nonsense I was spouting about observationalism, magic, Plato's cave, mental control and reality tunnels, etc.
The whole time, the finger he'd mashed in a door yesterday was hurting him muchly. And since he wouldn't take up my offer of painkillers,(another child here passionately spoke against the idea, and he chose to do as SHE wanted) I broke down and
taught some self healing techniques to block pain. (I do still feel a small mite guilty for teaching the non oathbound, but these things are SO much more effective if you do them to yourself. And I'm always loath to refuse healing to those in need)
Anyway, during all that it dawned on him that this magic we were playing with WORKED. He had that AHA! moment when he realized that Magic was REAL (a handy if imprecise word)
You could see it in his eyes, The proverbial light bulb
over his head switching on. So CUTE!
And I didn't even have to sleep with him.

Today's Crimefighters:
He's an impetuous ninja househusband plagued by the memory of his family's brutal murder. She's a sarcastic wisecracking cab driver with only herself to blame. They fight crime!
