Well I haven't updated in ages but I thought I would write something.
It looks like Livejournal is dying out in the wake of Facebook. Nobody updates on this thing anymore. I guess this entry is perhaps a pity entry for Livejournal execs.
Things are going well for me recently. Life here quickly evolved into a routine of studying, tennis, and hanging out with friends. Nothing really has changed that much since I have arrived.
This year I want to take the highest level of the Japanese language proficiency test in Seattle. I think there is a good chance that I can pass it but I also think there is an equal chance that I will fail it by three points or something. Looking back on my life I think I have failed almost every important test in my life by a couple of points. I don't know whether it is better to completely fail a test or to just fail it by a couple of points. Completely failing at least lets you know that you shouldn't have taken the test in the first place, but barely failing just makes you wish you had filled in a C instead of B on some random question, leaving you with a tinge of regret that might only be nullified by heavy drinking and/or wild monkey sex. Oh well, I think I have lived a pretty good life without passing those tests anyways.
I'm going to Sapporo this weekend. With a population of about 1.8 million, Sapporo is the biggest city in Hokkaido, the Northenmost island of Japan. There is no particular reason that I am going, I just want a change of scenery.
