If the beginning of the summer is any indication of what the rest of it will be like then this summer will be fucking badass.
Wednesday: Finished my Japanese 310 and History 322 Finals after a long week of studying and completing projects. I simply go home, crash, and wake up fifteen hours later due to sleep deprivation.
Thursday: Sit around, hang out with friends, play video games, and basically do a lot of nothing.
Friday: Wake up and discover Loy sleeping on the couch. Lacey comes over and we decide to go to Costco for lunch. After that we go to Value Village and fool around a bit. Loy goes to help his parents with some event over at Dimond High. Now it's just Lacey, Ian, and myself. We start driving over to the Northern Lights Value Village when Lacey's car runs out of gas at an intersection. Luckily there's a gas station nearby so Ian and I use our feral, brute strength to push the car into the gas station. We then proceed to pump mechanical life giving gas into the car. We go to the Northern Lights Value Village and I find the same Sand Lake Elementary School t-shirt that Loy has and buy it for fifty cents. It's such a nice day out that we all think it's best if we do something outside. We go to Westchester Lagoon and start walking the coastal trail. I found that our troll doll from FASH (Fourth Annual Scavenger Hunt) is no longer under his bridge. Where he could be, I have no clue. Jesus, I don't know everything. Why do you always have to ask all these stupid questions? We walk down the coastal trail some more and find a another cool looking bridge. All of us go under the bridge and discover a homeless guy laying in the sun on the other side of the water. It was crazy since he was wearing all grey clothes and was pretty well camoflaged. This guy is practically living out my dream: lying around in the sun, no responsibilities to anyone, he can do whatever he wants when he wants...although I'm sure dumpster diving breakfast, lunch, and dinner would get pretty annoying pretty fast. I ask Ian to go talk to the guy and ask him for an empty bottle but he doesn't get it...it's a sad, sad world indeed when Ian misses a video game reference. Afterwards we start walking around on the literally seven foot wide expanse of beach. Throwing rocks in to the sea, sitting on driftwood, punching the beach in the face...it was definitely the best time I've had in a while. When we were finished we walked back to the car and Lacey dropped us back off at our place. Can't remember what I did with the rest of the night.
Saturday: Started off the day at the Bosco's warehouse sale with Dave and Ian where I bought the following: an old box of snickers marathon candy (I don't even recall this particular incarnation of snickers), the rhino alien toy that I wanted a bunch as a kid (the five year old Monty inside of me was stoked), a bunch of Dune trading cards (these ended up being a bunch of starter pack doubles so I was kind of disappointed), and a bunch of comics (including an AWESOME Battle Beast comic). The whole thing cost about twenty five dollars, but taking into effect that I basically revisited my childhood for a morning I consider it worth it. After that Bryant met up with us and we all went to a couple of garage sales and one moving sale. After driving around for a bit I go back home and take a nap. Wake up about an hour later and call Derek about going to Yama-ya for a Japanese 310 gathering. He comes over, picks me up, and we go over there. Pretty simple. Yama-ya was a ton of fun: good food, good people, good addicting slot machine, good karaoke. When we're finished there Derek and I try and go over to see Tracey Morgan at UAA but they are completely sold-out of tickets. Instead we go over to Derek's house and hang out for a bit. I haven't been over to his house in a long time so it was an interesting experience. We come back to my place and call Nori. Ian, Derek, Nori, and myself get together and decide that we want to go bug the Donaldsons---->drive to the Donaldsons---->knock on the Donaldson's window---->bug Loy Donaldson---->leave the Donaldsons. Then we drive over to the airport to bug Justin at work. Of course Justin is a pro at ignoring people who are trying to annoy him so we get bored pretty quick and leave him alone. After that we literally run around the airport randomly for a couple of minutes and return home.
Sunday: It's free dump day. I throw out a bunch of garbage with Dave and Ian.
I hope the rest of this summer will be this cool.
