Hummus and Doritos

So exams are done, London is clearing out and things are starting to get that lazy, summer feel to them. Awesome. I am so ready for some relaxation, but 5 exams in a week would do that to you.

I made cassoulet last week and had some extra beans leftover. Right then, I knew I'd have to make them into hummus. I started out following a recipe, but eventually just ignored it and did my own thing. It was almost difficult to sit down and try to remember what the heck I put it in! I think I got it, though, which is great because I'm definitely going to have to make this again. I left it a bit chunky, since it gives another little texture to the dip. When I went to take pictures, I grabbed the bag of Jalapeño BBQ Doritos I had bought earlier today on a whim to use them in the photos. It wasn't until I was cleaning up that I grabbed a chip and tried it with the hummus. OH MAN. It was delicious. The spiciness of the chips was a great contrast to the cool hummus. I had to resist just sitting down there and devouring the whole thing.

I highly recommend eating this with a spicy chip. Trust me: it'll be delicious. Photos and the recipe can be found at my blog, Phenomenom.
