When the weather gets cold and rainy (as it does in Seattle... kind of a lot), the first thing that comes to mind is: stew! I was reading American Gods and at some point the main character eats stew, and I thought: That sounds really good right now. For some reason, even though I usually prefer beef stew, this time I felt like having chicken stew instead. I was thinking a white, chickeny base, but the highest-rated recipe I found online (Giada's) was a tomato base. I made it and REGRET NOTHING. It was so delicious!
I used chicken leg quarters instead of breasts. Tweaked recipe available
