We're getting our first serious taste of fall in New England. I'm loving it, but I also want to indulge in a little bit of summer while I still can. Yesterday I stopped by a great little farm nearby to see if they had any summer squash/zucchini left for some pasta (
Linguine w/ Slow Cooked Zucchini, Basil and Cream -- absolutely delicious!) and came home with a nice little stash of stuff, including some gorgeous green zebra and peach tomatoes. The stunning little red ones came from pots in my apartment. They're called
Cosmonaut Volkov. They're a cool weather Ukranian heirloom that I thought might do well inside. As per usual, my fruits aren't as big as I see on outdoor plants, but they're still absolutely fantastic! Both the Genovese and
Dark Opal Basil used in this are also from my garden. Oh, yeah, and this stuff is absolutely delicious, moreso with just a dash of fresh grated Parm.
