I'm completely surprised and horrified by the sheer amount of phlegm that my body can create when I'm sick. I remember enough of my high school biology classes to know that this is a necessary function (something to do with ridding germs from your body) but when I'm coughing up pieces of my lungs, it honestly feels like my body is taking revenge on me for allowing it to become sick to begin with.
When I'm this ill, I turn to this wonderful chicken, vegetable & wonton soup to ease my pains and regain some strength, and it's often the one surefire way of returning myself to the land of the living...for a little while anyway :)
What do you do to make yourself feel better when you're down and out with a cold or flu?
