Yes, it looks very appetizing :) But I try to understand the idea. There is a joke here in Ukraine about national addiction on a bacon (сало) - now everyone can buy chocolate bar - bacon in chocolate. I tried it and found that bacon there is only in title. :D
I use bacon fat in place of butter fat in the caramel and shortbread... since all the flavor of bacon is carried by the fat, this makes the flavor far more intense than items that just have added bits of bacon.
Mmmmm I get it too! I made chocolate cupcakes replacing half the butter with bacon fat. Add in some chocolate covered bacon and fleur de sel and it was a great balance of sweet, salty and umami. This looks amazing!
