Shallon Winery Chocolate Orange Wine
I was in Astoria Oregon on my way to see the Goonies house, when we happened to find the Shallon Winery. The Propietor is a wonderful old man with tons of awesome stories. He's quite amazing and very passionate about his wine. I almost would say he is the willy wonka of wine. Here is his awesome Chocolate Orange wine in which he serves in a shotglass size ice cream cone.
It is delious and can be used as a drink or in recipes. Anything from Cheesecake, on top of fine ice creams, you could use it to dip strawberries in, etc. His wines are all 100 percent natural and made with ingredients you can't get just anywhere. If you are in Oregon I'd reccommend a trip to Astoria to take the tour and sample his delicious wines and hear some of his great stories.
There is no charge for the tour although gratituty is appreciated. We got to sample, his apple, blackberry, peach and cranberry. The Cranberry is made from whey is actually has some health beneifits or so some of his customers say.
