Tomatoes and Avocados

I would never try to out do my fellow food pornographer bipaganfreak, but after seeing her mouth watering pictures of I had to post my own picture of my tomato-avocado salad plate.





In case you wanted to know, the dish is actually a deviled egg plate. It's the best looking plate I had for the shot. Anyways like I said before, I usually slice the tomatoes in half and present the slices alternating tomato/avocado/tomato...., but bipaganfreak's dish looked so nice I thought I would imitate her style in my dish.

This "recipe" is simple, 1 beefsteak tomato sliced, 1 avocado sliced, 2 dollops of cottage cheese, fresh crushed pepper, sea salt, olive oil, and fresh basil from my garden (damned basil plant is dying so the leaves are itty bitty.) With this, we had grilled new potatoes, with rosemary, fresh garlic, olive oil, salt, pepper, and a little white wine. And I grilled up some Trader Joe's buffalo burgers, as this is my meat eating weekend (I'm currently on a weekday vegetarian diet.)
