Super Bowl Goodies

Thought I'd add in my wonderful snacki-ness from the big game:

That's Paula Deen's Sweet Chicken Bacon Wraps (My wife and I saw them on TV last week and thought they just sounded too good not to try...), my wife's Pizza Dip (recipe below, under the cut) with some store-bought french bread for dipping, and a Sam Adams that I couldn't help but sample pre-picture, with a shameless plug for my alma mater.

Pizza Dip!
  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1 c. shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 3/4 c. shredded (not grated) Parmesan
  • 8 oz. pizza sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped green pepper (optional, not used in pictured example above)
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped green onion (optional)

Preheat oven to 350 (F). Combine cream cheese and Italian seasoning in a bowl, mix thoroughly. Spread chream cheese mixture evenly on the bottom of a 1 qt. casserole dish. In another small bowl, combine 3/4 c. mozzarella with the parmesan, sprinkle over cream cheese mixture. Spread pizza sauce over the cheeses. Sprinkle remaining mozzarella over top. Finish with green onions and green peppers (other toppings may work, as well - feel free to try!). Bake at 350 (F) for 15-18 minutes, or until cheese has completely melted and is bubbling. Serve with french bread for dipping.
