Mango lassis are delicious! I first had one at an Indian restaurant years ago, though I'd never tried to make one myself. Last night I was reading Cooking Light Magazine while making an Indian dinner and I saw this recipe, so I decided to give it a go!
I added extra mango to the mixture, because it tasted too much like yogurt and not enough like mango. I would be intriqued to try this recipe with other fruits as well, as it's basically just a delicious smoothie.
Mango Lassi
Ingredients
3 ripe mangoes, chopped up
3 cups Greek-style yogurt
1 cup 1% milk
3 tbsp sugar
pistachios
ground cardamom
Directions
1. Combine the mangoes, yogurt, and milk. Blend together.
2. Blend in the sugar.
3. Pour into glasses and top with several pistachios and a pinch of cardamom.
