It's autumn and my apples are at their peak, while my persimmons are just becoming ripe.
I have no recipes today, because these fruits are delicious enough eaten straight out of hand. But eventually I will start making persimmon and fennel salads with crumbled blue cheese, and other apples have gone into waldorf salads.
Other uses have included apple butter, apple juice, persimmon cookies, and persimmon pulp with yoghurt and granola.
I love autumn!
