The lighting is not beautiful, but two nights ago I made Steak and Leek pie:

In a very large sauce pan or wok, saute one whole onion in approx. 1 tbs of olive oil.  Add two or three cloves minced garlic.  Add three sliced leeks.  Add steak, cut into strips or chunks.  Sear.  Add beef stock, peas, a pinch of curry, a teaspoon of paprika, a teaspoon of black pepper, and a teaspoon of salt (all of this is eyeballed).  Add chopped fresh parsley.

Pour the whole schebang into a casserole dish.  Top with layers of fillo dough brushed with butter (add parsley and minced garlic between layers).  Bake in a 350 degree oven for twenty minutes or until the fillo browns and crisps up.  Can also be topped with pre-made flaky dough (the kind that comes in a tube).

peas, garlic, casseroles, leeks, curry, beef, paprika, parsley
