Pornistas, please share your favourite homemade soup recipes!

I'm craving soup but I can't eat the store bought canned stuff because I'm no longer allowed salt. I would love to make something delicious tonight but I've never made soup before and have no idea where to begin.

Will it taste okay without salt? That's the big problem for me.

Yeah, it'll taste okay. Sorry about that, I reposted the recipe, down below. I couldn't even understand part of what I wrote.

I don't add salt to any of my soups and they come out fine. OK, the ham-bean soup(stock from ham bone)has it's own sodium but nowhere NEAR what the canned stuff has. Trick is to get in other flavors, herbs can work wonders.

Sorry I don't have exact recipes, my soups are NEVER the same. Just add lots of veggies, herbs for flavoring and start with a good stock.

PS - once you get used to cooking with less salt you may be surprised the difference in change you have for foods (ex. ones with more flavors/herbs/etc)

Does turkey stock taste much different than chicken stock?

about as much as turkey tastes different from chicken.

Not a whole lot, but it's noticable.
