I want to make my son some great blueberry pancakes for breakfast tomorrow. Unfortunately the best I could get blueberry wise was frozen.

My mom tells me you're supposed to make the batter while the blueberry is still frozen. This doesn't make sense to me because in my experience frozen berries always have a little bit of water and can ruin things if you don't thaw them out first.

Which is best to do? Leave them frozen or thaw them out?

Also if you have a nice recipe you like to use that would also be nice.
