Thanksgiving

So... I drove home to visit my family. As payment for a roof over my head, I told my parents I'd cook the entire meal. (Little does my mom realise I actually *enjoy* cooking, especially big meals.)

I'm including the menu and a photo. (Sorry for the blurriness. Dad was in a hurry because he was starving!)

Menu:
Crudites and chips and dip (to keep family away while I cook in peace)
Maple and Molasses Glazed Turkey
Gravy (made from turkey drippings)
Mashed red potatoes
Glazed carrots, with a dash of cayenne for heat
Sauteed green beans with garlic
Stuffing with gizzards, pecans, apples, and dried cranberries
Salad of baby greens with orange sections, dried cranberries, toasted pecans and feta, drizzled with a homemade balsamic vinegrette
Parkerhouse rolls
Cranberry mousse (not pictured)
Cheesecake with choice of caramel or raspberry sauce

(BTW, we only had 3 adults and 2 kids for this meal......)

I was a little disappointed because my mousse didn't set well in the mold and as soon as we unmolded it, it collapsed into something closely resembling cream of cranberry soup. I suspect it was way too hot in the kitchen. Also, the parkerhouse rolls didn't come out as light as my great-grandmother's used to. I thought I was following her recipe, but after perusing her old recipe books, the one I used was vastly different. Tasty, but denser and drier. Her recipe dates back to 1940 and calls for compressed or cake yeast. All I know about is the packet yeast. Does anyone know where I'd find cake yeast?
