Dinner for two...
So... we don't do Turkey Day in my land. But, by chance, I will be spending tomorrow with my father. (Well, the evening anyway) and as a result, I am v. thankful. So I am interested in making a Thanksgiving-style dinner for the two of us.
the catch? I will have 3 hours to do it, in an unfamilair kitchen. no chance of any sort of prepwork by my dad, unfortunately.
So, I am asking you, my dear pornistas: What sort of thanksgiving-y recipes would you suggest for a situation like this? My father and I are omnivores and will try anything once. However, the kitchen is rather limited as far as I understand.
My tentative thoughts involve mashed potatoe and a pie of some sort, probably apple but beyond that... help?
