If that is the case you might just want to make the mushroom broth and then add a few shitake's to the soup as floaters. The broth is the best part anyway. I had it tonight for dinner with some crusty bread to dip into it. Slupralicious.

And yeah Better than boullion is really salty but in this case the mushrooms soak up so much salt that it becomes far too bland if you don't add some.

I am gonna have to try the whole foods stuff. I hate the regular vegetable boullion cubes. They taste weird and bitter to me. I keep hoping I will find something better.
