So we've got ten cans of sardines....
So many sardines. Tons of them. My friends that moved in upstairs set up their canned goods, and let me rifle through tonight to grab a few things for supper. While rifling, I found 10 cans of sardines. Some in... hot sauce? And they've stated that they got them from a box of food from the food bank ages ago, and don't want them but can't bring themselves to throw them out. So I'm sitting here, having flashbacks of my dad making sardine sandwiches, and me making horrible faces at him while he ate them... and then I go "Hey! There has to be something fun I can do with sardines!"
A trip to various sites and search engines have shown that sardines can be used in pasta, and I think I'll be trying a recipe of that sort. I've seen note of them also being used in salads. And well, okay, a lot of the stuff I'm running into sounds just plan gaggity. (Sardine cheese balls? What what?) So hey. I trust you nice people. Does anyone here do anything pornworthy with sardines? It's a shame to have those things going to waste up there.
