I had a barbeque to go to yesterday, and when I called and asked if there was anything I could bring, the answer was dessert.

My fav!

And I had been thinking about making peach cobbler (after watching The Next Food Network Star), because it looked so good, and tastes so great. Originally, I was going to make the recipe provided on foodnetwork.com by Carissa Steward. But then I realized I only had 16oz. of peaches, and no baking powder, and it needed to feed twice as many people.

So... I pretty much made it up.

16 oz. of sliced peaches
2 cups of blueberries
2 cups of sliced strawberries
a few handfuls of dried cranberries
tossed with sugar

And what ended up being on top? The shortcake recipe from the bisquik box, with cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves thrown in to taste. Yum.

Baked for 15 minutes at 375, then glazed with butter and sugar, and baked for another 20 minutes.

Pretty pretty pictures.

And the response was excellent. Everyone loved it.
