I've been watching a lot of older music videos, recently. Anthony got me hooked on the old-school Wierd Al shit, and let me tell you, he really does have some funny stuff. Then again, I bet most of us knew that already. I gotta say that Michael Jackson has some of the, well, oddest but insanely cool music videos, too. I especially like his videos for "Beat It", "Smooth Criminal", and "Bad". Saw what he looked like so long ago. Damn is that boy white now.
I've been doing a lot of thinking, recently, too. About many different things. Some good, some bad, some ugly. About my life, my past, my future. About friends. About friendships, and the lackthereof. About relationships, and of course the lackthereof. For example, I'm not really finding any striking young women that knock me off my feet. I kind of want a relationship again, now, but am not really seeing anyone in the least bit appealing. But, luckily, I still enjoy my bachelor-ness, if that is even a word.
It was my dad's birthday today. 58 years old. He seemed to have a good time; I'm glad.
I've been feeling sick the last couple days. Not sure why, but it would appear that my allergies are what make me feel like shit 24/7, now. Or so I am told.
Dog-sat for my cousin/aunt's dog on Friday night. Anthony came over at roughly midnight, and we just hung out, played some Final Fantasy VII, attempted to watch Finding Nemo (but fell asleep, as always) and other things. All in all it was a good time.
Anthony dropped his statistics class, so he only has class until Wednesdays now. Hopefully we'll get to hang out more, and hopefully he'll get to hang out with Em more, too.
Final Fantasy VII is still addicting, no matter how many times I beat it and then take a break. I think I would have originally bought a Playstation just to play that game; and I am the one that despised the Playstation from day one. I was an N64 guy. Thank God you can play the original Playstation games on a PS2. Saves me some money.
I need to go shopping for some new spring "over-shirts". Sweatshirts getting too hot. Damn sun.
Old friend wants me to take a few days off of work in early May so I can drive cross-country and escort her to her Spring Formal. Gotta love that Catillion, if that is how one would spell it. I want to go, just hope it works out. And of course, it would be another reason for me to break out my assassin suit, now finally complete with black leather trenchcoat and black leather gloves. *sexy growl* You know it.
My great-Uncle died earlier last week. He was a good guy, worked for Coca-Cola for 36 years or so. He had emergency surgery for something or other but never came out of it. Poor guy. I didn't know him very well, but I will still miss him.
Finished the fourth season of The West Wing. Makes me crave the The West Wing marathon I talked about so long ago. Oh well, maybe when we move to the new house. Oh, and finally got around to going out and buying Firefly. Man, love that show. Fox, you are evil and should be punished.
Speaking of which, I finally went to go see it today. I didn't get to go inside, but saw the outside. Ah, su-fuckin'-burbia at it's finest. Crammed in the middle of row after row of houses with very confusing streets in the middle of Blaine. My dad, who's been there more than several times now, somehow managed to get me lost. Last time I let him be the navigator, let me tell you. Anyway, house looked ok. Something I noticed though...there is no pad (or third stall) for me to park. Joy, I get the driveway again. Where the hell am I supposed to work on my car? Where the hell am I supposed to keep it safe from those crazed suburbians? That was the only thing I wanted, three stalls. *sighs* Meh. Whatever, it's fine. Just going to make things a bit more difficult. Luckily for me, I enjoy a challenge.
I have really gotten out of the habit of writing e-mails to people. I think I will start writing to people again after I get a few things figured out in my life. Lord only knows how long that could take. I don't write to anyone, anymore, except one or two people. You know you are, so feel special.
*checks watch, and drains the last couple sips of his lager and Coke* 12:30 AM now, I get up for work in just over five hours, so I best be going to bed. Until next time, bye, all.
P.S. I'm glad Jackie's back and I am glad she overall enjoyed herself.
