and good luck with your thesis. the road sounds so familiar. not with my architecture thesis, cause that was years ago and different since it's not (only) a written paper and mostly plans, diagrams, concepts, drawings, models bla bla, but with the phd. omg. so slow. and fingering the dictionary a lot. (this sounds so wrong hahaha) and then still not sure if i get it and then rereading and writing thoughts and rereading and really, can't all these philosophers and social scientists and academics please speak english?
yeah
i went to chrome for the same reason. firefox was killing my computer. chrome seems to do the same thing lately. they eat a LOT of CPU and crowd the processes tree, so basically try to keep the tabs at a minimum. (which for me is impossible since i don't have a lot of free time and i tend to open things to read/comment/post/reply to in different tabs and work through them later or so and then i lose them at some points because chrome crashes and then it all goes to crazyland. i'm trying not to think about how many replies i owe lately because of that heh
ah summer cottage sounds so nice. and grandma :). best of health for her :)
I'm not that much into jrock in general, only into Diru, and I don't think I'd be able to name the required five (?) pairings to write/read. Plus, I can't make a commitment with the theses to write, and it'd be unfair if I sign up and then end up not having time to write it :/
haha I can't even finger the dictionary since they're all online dictionaries but I know what you mean. It's so slow, painstaking and it takes ages to get even a little bit of text done. I'm so stressed about this but it's working forward, slowly... so I suppose it'll be alright.
Chrome seems somewhat better but it's not an ideal solution at all :/ I am the same, I open a million tabs to check later or to comment later, and I can't work with just one or two tabs. Paaaaaahhh. Why can't they just work properly without eating so much resources, damnit.
Thank you :) The summer cottage is so nice! Anyone who comes to Finland to visit me is bound to be dragged there! XD Except if it's winter since then... well, one doesn't GET there XD
we actually watched a finnish movie last night (Sauna, a very good and deep movie actually) and i think it's the first time i hear finnish for a long period of time (well, 2 hours at least) and it sounds so interesting. i love nordic languages and though i know finnish is not in the same language tree as say swedish and so on, they all have a strange appeal to me. thought i'd share that cause i thought of you while listening to it
Aw, that now makes me really happy :) I like the movie a lot and I should watch it again since it's been a while. It was something I didn't expect, definitely.
